There are so many good films in Turkey on movie that it can be the proof that %80 of the film watchers prefer watching Turkish movies.
Deserted Man is the film of a director who is widely liked by Turkish watchers. Cağan Irmak is an affective director of a latest period of Turkish cinemas.

Before watching the film, you expect a love affair. And you do. Story begins with Alper, a man left his own family life since his childhood, went to İstanbul and built a new life there, became successful in his working life, but not adapted these in his private life. After Ada joining his life, a man of loneliness, goes to a relationship with her without thinking and waiting. The dose of love get so arise that in a point the tension gets higher and higher. By this way you feel unrest. And the film takes you to the shocking ending.

Is the film affective for as the people find something from their past or not finding the happy ending as we are always watched? But it is certain that everyone is shocked when the lights on.

In the movie, we see the nice streets within İstanbul’s historical landscape as İstiklal Street, Bağdat Street. We also hear about Thomas Hardy, 2. hand bookshops or record shops, the famous Turkish writer İhsan Oktay Anar, 70’s popular songs and records. All these figures contribute the film as the visual elements.

“You are walking on the snow but you don’t realise that you’re dying”
“Don’t offend or leave her. Ada is the most precious present which was given by God to you” “You kneeled down and I told I story to you and you grew up then” “One day I realised that I couldn’t sit next to the window reading a few pages with a cup of tea in my hand” “You tell something diffrent man, don’t tell the same stories again” are the noticable dialogues in the film.

As a result , the songs which are now forgotten are popular among the youngs. It is a real curiosity if the songs were in considerable at the time of time script handled. It is certain that the director is debt to those songs of the film effect for those lines.

So, watch it comfortably , not get tensed, through the nostalgic songs, travel to the deserted island in you.
